Gundagai's Herritage
Gundagai has a rich history of bushrangers, pioneering triumphs, Wiradjuri heroes and is the site of Australia’s worst natural disaster. Wines are produced locally and there are several local antique shops as well as an abundance of fresh country air.
Annual Horse Racing & Carnival Event
Gundagai racecourse is home to the famous Snake Gully Cup held on the third Friday in November each year. . Snake Gully 2007 is 16-17 November and this weekend also includes the Dog on the Tuckerbox festival. In 2007 the Dog turns 75 and this special anniversary will be celebrated on Sunday 18 November.
